Who we are

Henora’s Catering began long before the name existed. It was born in the warm kitchen of my grandparents, Henry and Elenora Armstrong, on the island of St. Croix, where food was more than a meal—it was connection, culture, and love made visible.

As children, we watched them move with purpose. My grandfather taught us the value of discipline and pride in one simple rule: “Everything must be paid for—so ask me before getting something from the bar.” Behind his humor was a lesson in business, responsibility, and respect.

Meanwhile, my grandmother, mother, and aunts brought the heart: the simmering pots of Kallalloo, the careful deboning of fish, the cleaning of salted pork, and the comforting weekend rhythm of roast goat or pork, always paired with Aunt Helen’s famous mac and cheese and my mother's potato stuffing. Each dish held history. Each flavor carried a story.

Henora’s Catering is my way of honoring them—reviving the recipes that shaped my childhood and sharing the culinary traditions of the Virgin Islands with a new generation. Every menu we craft reflects the warmth of family, the richness of island heritage, and the authenticity of food made with intention.

This isn’t just catering.
It’s legacy, served with love.
